This is a true story about my grandniece who had a heart complication. The doctor had made preparations for surgery.............then a miracle happened. Read the full story below:-
‘With faith comes miracle. ….this is our testimony. It all started with the birth of our twin daughters, Arlyn and Talena. They were born prematuredly on 27th December 2007 due to – twin transfusion syndrome, whereby in short, one twin is the blood donor and the other the receiver. The first few months were the hardest as both our daughters had complications. When both of them were healthy enough to go home, they have to undergo regular check-ups at the hospital. To our dismay, the doctors diagnosed our first daughter, Arlyn , with hernia and what appeared to be a not entirely closed heart. Further consultation with the doctors left us with no option but to let Arlyn undergo surgery for her hernia. Another appointment was given on a later date for an Echo Test, a test to monitor the heart’s activity.
On the day of the surgery, we made a stop at my parents’s house. Coincidently, my aunt Rose came and told us about the healing mass conducted by Rev. Fr. Augustine who was in Kota Kinabalu at that time. We were all disappointed because we could’nt attend the mass knowing there is a possibility that Arlyn could get healed Putting that aside,we went as scheduled for the operation at Likas Hospital. When the doctor came in to examine Arlyn, we told him about the Echo Test which was set for a later date. He advised us to wait for the outcome of that test in order to determine whether she would be fit enough to go through the surgery as she was at that time only a few months old. And so, as if it was God’s will the surgery was postponed. We were both relieved and mystified as we felt that it was really God’s plan for us to attend the healing mass which we did..
Coincidently again, aunt Rose bumped into uncle George Thien who was a friend of my father and told him about Arlyn. Kind-heartedly, uncle George said that he would ask Fr. Augustine whether he could come by to my parents’ house to pray over Arlyn. Fr. Augustine agreed wholeheartedly. Arlyn was prayed over together with her sister Talena and the rest of our family members.
The day arrived for Arlyn to undergo her Echo Test. Much to our surprise, we were informed by the doctor that there should be nothing to worry about as her heart would close up naturally in time and therefore fit enough to go through the hernia surgery. Arlyn’s hernia surgery was rescheduled to a later date. During that period, her hernia seemed to have subsided and the bumps were no longer visible. We informed the doctor at the Paediatric Surgery department but he still insist that the operation should be done.
During the day of the surgery, she had flu which resulted in the doctor not being able to give her the anaesthetic before the operation. The surgery was again postponed and we were told to see a different doctor at the Paediatric Surgery department for consultation. The doctor examined her and as the bumps were no longer visible anymore, he said that there was no need for any surgery . He explained that as she grew bigger, the condition would become normal.
We knew then that Arlyn had been healed. God had worked through Fr.Augustine to perform the healing and with faith she was healed. PRAISE THE LORD!!
