Treatment Of H1 N1 With Apples And Oranges (whether it is due to the fruits or otherwise have still to be proven scientifically)

With appreciation to my brother, John M. for this article.

JUST A SMALL BUT MEANINGFUL INFORMATION FROM ME TO YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS...MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF H1N1 SINCE IT PRACTICALLY HIT US LIKE A TIME BOMB.....

My staff was crying herself sick on Tuesday morning...was told that her son was confirmed of H1N1 in his University at Kangar, Perlis...worse was that when he was bedridden for 2 days the warden didn't even bother to send him to hospital till his dad came fm KL and with his friends' assistance brought him to General Hospital Kangar....

No one bothered in the hospital and he was put in the normal ward for another 2 days!!! (imagine the amount of people he has infected!!) .....after 2 days when his eyes were turning yellow and saliva greenish...he was quarantined in a room...

Called his mom to say...minta maaf and ampun la dosa dia,
etc...she practically fainted just telling me the story.. can't do much
as she didn't have enough money to go to the north with the father...

First thing we did was made her call the hospital and insist that they sent him to Sg.Buloh Hospital or any other hospital in KL since they seemed to be more alert and more equipped...they refused of course...so I sent her off to Kangar the same day to solve the problem.

Whilst this was happening, thank God, I had a call from one Ustaz who was in town to "help cure" another H1N1 child in Shah Alam....and was told this simple prescription by him.....

EAT MINIMUM 6 GREEN APPLES A DAY AND FRESH ORANGE JUICE for those with sore throat please blend the apples and keep on taking till your fever disappear and your symptoms are gone....I cannot explain it but the child in Shah Alam was ok too after taking this tip....

Thank God...my staff's son was given the apple juice for the whole day on Monday/Tuesday and with God's help, he has no fever yesterday, Wednesday....she called me and was crying on the phone to say that her son was out of ICU and was able to eat normally...all these happened within just 4 days today (Thursday 6 August)...

This is just to share with my fellow sisters and brothers and hope this little information could assist others as well. There is no harm in trying.

Strange But True

With appreciation to my sister-inlaw, Veronica M. for this article.

Why .....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Why .....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Why ...do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Why? Good question.

A Penny - Can Take Out The Pain From A Bee Sting

With appreciation to my friend, George H. for this article.

It might be wise to carry a penny in your pocket while working in the yard..........!

A couple of weeks ago, I was stung by both a bee and hornet while working in the garden.

My arm swelled up, so I went to the doctor. The clinic gave me cream and an antihistamine. The next day the swelling was getting progressively worse, so I went to my regular doctor. The arm was Infected and needed an antibiotic. The doctor told me - " The next time you get stung, put a penny on the bite for 15 minutes".

That night, my niece was stung by two bees. I looked at the bite and it had already started to swell. So, I taped a penny to her arm for 15 minutes. The next morning, there was no sign of a bite. We decided that she just wasn't allergic to the sting.

Soon, I was gardening outside. I got stung again, twice by a hornet on my left hand. I thought, here I go again to the doctor for another antibiotic.

I promptly got my money out and taped two pennies to my bites, then sat and sulked for 15 minutes. The penny took the string out of the bite immediately.

In the meantime the hornets were attacking, and my friend was stung on the thumb. Again the penny. The next morning I could only see the spot where the hornet had stung me. No redness, no swelling. My friend's sting was the same; couldn't even tell where she had been stung.

She got stung again a few days later upon her back---cutting the grass! And the penny worked once again.

Wanted to share this marvelous information in case you experience the same problem. We need to keep a stock of pennies on hand.

The doctor said that the copper in the penny counteracts the bite.
It definitely works!

2nd Asian Conference - Catholic Fraternity Of Charismatic Communities And Fellowships Held From August 6 To 9 2009 At Kota Kinabalu Sabah Malaysia

Venue, Pacific Sutera Harbour Resort

The conference was hosted by the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu with The Light of Jesus Christ Covenant Community as the organiser. It ran from the 6 to 9 August 2009. The theme of the conference was Passing on the Faith. In his message of welcome to the participants, His grace, the Archbishop of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk John Lee, amongst others said:

When the Catholic Fraternity recieved recognition from the Pontifical Council for the laity as an International Association of the faithful in November 1990, one of its objectives is to safeguard the Catholic Identity of Charismatic Communities and to encourage them to maintain a strict bond with the Bishops and the Roman Pontiff. " That identity," according to our beloved late John Paul II, "requires you to be ever more fully associated with the life of the particular Churches." He quoted, "When ecclesial movements humbly seek to become part of the life of local churches and are welcome by Bishops and priests within diocesan and parish structures, they represent a true gift of God both for new evangelisation and for misssionary activity properly so called."(Redemptoris Missi. 72) I hope your reflection on "Passing on the faith" would be done within the context of the local Churches; and how your communities could help strengthen the faith of the new Asian Catholics.
Similarly, the Archbishop of Kuching, His grace John Ha in congratulating the host and the organiser of the conference mentioned:
The conference is a concrete expression of the unity of the Church. Coming from different countries in Asia, participants are united in the Lord Jesus. Covenant Communities aim to foster this unity by enabling their members to live it in a concrete and more manageable manner. In choosing the theme " Passing On The Faith", the conference seeks to brainstorm on how to share with others our faith in the Lord Jesus and bring them into the unity anchored on Him. "the stone rejected by the builders but becoming the cornerstone"(Mk.12:10).

If You Worry, You Didn't Pray - If You Pray, Don't Worry

With appreciation to my friend, John P. for this article.

SPECIAL GROCERY LIST

Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store.

She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries.

She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.

John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'

John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?'

Louise replied, 'Yes sir.' 'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'

Louise hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.

The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.

The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.

It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:

'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.

Louise thanked him and left the store. The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said; 'It was worth every penny of it. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs.'
